In the latest round of matches in the CWI Women’s Super50, Jamaica continued their impressive form by securing a convincing five-wicket victory over Trinidad and Tobago.
Meanwhile, Barbados put an end to Guyana’s unbeaten campaign with a hard-fought four-wicket win, and Windward Islands delivered a dominant performance to crush Leeward Islands by 115 runs.
In their encounter against Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica successfully chased down a target of 169 runs, with Chedean Nation leading the charge with a superb innings of 70 runs. Supported by former West Indies captain Stafanie Taylor, who contributed 38 runs, Jamaica overcame an early stumble to secure victory in the 32nd over.
On the other hand, Barbados displayed resilience against Guyana, restricting them to a total of 128 runs before chasing down the target with four wickets in hand. Former West Indies left-hander Kycia Knight played a crucial role, guiding Barbados to victory with an unbeaten 69-run innings.
In another fixture, Windward Islands showcased their batting prowess, posting an impressive total of 270 runs against Leeward Islands. Zaida James and Jannellia Glasgow impressed with half-centuries, propelling their team to a commanding victory. Leeward Islands struggled in their reply, eventually getting bowled out for 155 runs.
