Jamaica College and Edwin Allen Win Boys’ and Girls’ Champs

Jamaica College (JC) won their first title in 10 years while defending champions Edwin Allen retained their girls’ crown at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletic Championships “Champs” on Saturday in Kingston.

JC dethroned Kingston College, finishing with a total of 328.50 points, just 15 points ahead of KC, which placed second with 313 points.

Calabar placed third after finishing with 241.50 points with St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) 181 points and St Jago High, 129 points, completing the top five.

Edwin Allen, which were winning their seventh straight title and eighth overall, won the girls’ crown very comfortably by 30.5 points, as they tallied 340 points to win ahead of a very determined St Jago High, 309.50. Hydel High (301.50), Holmwood Technical (160.50), and Vere Technical (128) complete the top five.
