Lutoff-Perlo, renowned for her distinguished career in hospitality spanning four decades, assumes the helm as one of the few former CEOs from outside the sports realm to lead a FIFA World Cup 2026 Host Committee. With a focus on fostering robust collaboration between South Florida’s public and private sectors, Lutoff-Perlo and her team endeavor to host up to 600,000 spectators in the summer of 2026, whether at the iconic Miami Stadium (Hard Rock Stadium) or at vibrant fan zones and watch parties across the region.

Bringing a wealth of experience to her new role, Lutoff-Perlo served as CEO of Celebrity Cruises, where she steered the brand to unprecedented growth and redefined the luxury cruise experience. A South Florida resident and esteemed community leader, Lutoff-Perlo’s appointment underscores her dedication to leveraging the FIFA World Cup 2026 as a catalyst for positive social and economic transformation.

Joining Lutoff-Perlo in this endeavor are Janelle Prieto, appointed as Chief Marketing and Community Officer, and Ray Martinez, assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer. Prieto, a Miami native, brings extensive marketing and PR expertise, having previously served in leadership roles for major events, including Super Bowl LIV and the Miami Super Bowl Committee.

Martinez, with over 35 years of law enforcement experience, including tenure as Miami Beach chief of police, adds invaluable insights into security and operational logistics.
