The US Virgin Islands Soccer Federation has announced Vin Blaine, the former head coach of the Reggae Girlz, as its new Director of Football. Blaine had previously held this position from November 2019 to February 2022.
The federation shared the appointment news via a social media post on Friday, highlighting Blaine’s wealth of experience, knowledge, and his deep passion for the sport. In their statement, they stated, “The USVI Soccer Federation is pleased to announce that it has appointed Vin Blaine as Director of Football. With a wealth of experience, knowledge as well as a passion for the game. Director Blaine has served in numerous roles, in multiple countries. One of his most recent roles was being the Head Coach of Reggae Girlz (Jamaica). The future looks bright for Virgin Islands Football.”
Currently, Blaine holds the position of Director of Soccer at the Village Elite Soccer Academy located in Palm Springs, Florida. His previous roles include serving as Technical Director for the Harbour View Football Club, contributing to the Grenada Football Federation, and acting as the Technical Coordinator for Jamaica’s National Women’s teams from 2005 to 2012. Additionally, Blaine served as the head coach of the Reggae Girlz for a 10-month period spanning from December 2021 to September 2022.
