US extradition looms for Jamaican men accused of lottery scam involvement

In separate pre-dawn operations conducted on Wednesday, security forces in St James, Jamaica apprehended two individuals wanted by United States authorities for their alleged involvement in lottery scamming activities. 

The individuals are 26 and 31 years old, and their identities remain undisclosed.

Facing extradition to the United States

The arrests were executed based on extradition warrants issued by US authorities. 

The men are accused of mail fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, and various other offenses associated with lottery scams.

Early morning operations 

Reports are that two were apprehended at their homes in Paradise Heights and Montego West Village.

The coordinated efforts involved the Lottery Scam Taskforce, the Jamaica Fugitive Apprehension Team, and the Jamaica Defence Force.
