The Turks and Caicos Islands is set to expand its airlift network with the launch of new nonstop service between Denver International Airport (DEN) and Howard Hamilton International Airport in Providenciales (PLS), operated by United Airlines beginning December 2026.

The weekly route marks a further expansion of United Airlines’ presence in the destination and follows what officials described as extensive negotiations with the Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority (TCIAA).

The announcement comes after a recent tourism roadshow in Denver, led by Premier Hon. Charles Washington Misick, during which Colorado Governor Jared Polis welcomed the delegation and proclaimed May 20, 2026, as Turks and Caicos Islands Friendship Day in recognition of strengthening ties between the state and the territory.

Premier Misick said the new connection opens a key gateway to western U.S. markets and supports broader economic growth.

“This new direct service between Denver and Providenciales is tremendously exciting for the Turks and Caicos Islands,” he said. “Denver is one of America’s great aviation gateways, opening convenient access to Colorado, California, and the entire western United States. Having already established strong links to the eastern and midwestern markets, we are delighted to now extend our reach to the west.”

He added that the route is expected to support tourism, investment, and business development.

Tourism Minister Hon. Zhavargo Jolly also welcomed the development, describing it as part of a wider strategy to diversify source markets and expand airlift beyond traditional U.S. regions.

“This new service between Denver and Providenciales represents another important step in expanding the global reach of the Turks and Caicos Islands,” he said. “Today, we continue our strategic expansion westward, creating direct access to one of North America’s most dynamic and affluent regions.”

He noted that the new route aligns with growing demand for luxury travel, wellness tourism, diving, outdoor experiences, and second-home investment.

Minister of Physical Planning and Infrastructure Development Hon. Arlington Musgrove said the service reflects ongoing collaboration between government agencies and industry partners.

“This new service is the result of continued collaboration between the Government, the Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority, Experience Turks and Caicos and our airline partners,” he said. “Expanding air access is critical to sustaining tourism growth.”

He added that efforts have been focused on strengthening connectivity from western North America, a market seen as having significant growth potential.

United Airlines also highlighted the opportunity created by the new route.

“We’re excited to give our customers yet another non-stop option between the Caribbean and Denver,” said Tom Kozlowski, Senior Manager of Latin, Caribbean & Hawaii Network Planning at United Airlines. “United is the largest carrier in Denver, and this new addition will be the westernmost service from Turks and Caicos to the U.S., opening new tourism opportunities.”

The new service will operate weekly on Saturdays using a Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft configured with 179 seats, including 20 in business class and 159 in economy.

Tentative schedule:

  • DEN–PLS: Departs 10:00, arrives 17:00 (Saturdays, from Dec. 19)
  • PLS–DEN: Departs 13:35, arrives 17:21 (Saturdays, from Dec. 19)
