Third place went to Gambia's Gina Mariam Bass Bittaye with 11.10 seconds. Patrizia van der Weken was fourth in 11.13 seconds.
Shashalee Forbes finished sixth in the first semi-final of the women's 100m inside the Stade de France. Forbes clocked 11.20 seconds in a race won by American Melissa Jefferson in 10.00 seconds, with Marie-Josee Ta Lou-Smith of Ivory Coast taking second in 11.01 seconds. Third place went to Mujinga Kambiundji of Switzerland in 11.05 seconds and Ewa Swoboda of Poland took third place in 11.08 seconds.
