Good reviews for Miami International

This recent data is in contrast to PlanetWare’s research, which shows Miami International Airport stands out with the shortest average security wait time in the state.

The study indicates that MIA boasts the 6th-shortest average security wait time in the entire United States, clocking in at a mere 10.4 minutes.

This remarkable achievement places MIA in an elite group of airports renowned for their efficiency and passenger-friendly experience.

To compile its rankings, PlanetWare narrowed down its focus to the 31 U.S. airports with the highest average passenger numbers annually.

These airports represent a cross-section of the nation’s busiest travel hubs, allowing for a fair comparison of security wait times.

The study then arranges the airports on this list from the longest to the shortest average wait time, revealing MIA’s exceptional standing.

In a press release, MIA noted that it achieved this ranking while also being the fastest-growing mega airport in seat capacity (30 million annual passengers or more) in the U.S. since the pandemic, according to Airports Council International-North America.

MIA also secured the top spot among mega airports in the Sunshine State, cementing its status as Florida’s premier travel hub.
