A tattoo shop employee was shot and injured outside his place of business in what appears to be an armed robbery. The Miami-Dade Police Department's Robbery Bureau detectives says they are investigating the incident.

According to investigators, on August 29th, 2024, at approximately 7:58p.m., two tattoo shop employees were taking a break from their duties at the rear of the business when two armed males approached them and demanded their belongings. Fearing for his safety, one of the victims attempted to flee the area but he was shot by one of the robbers.

The subjects then took property from both of the victims and fled in a vehicle. The injured victim was driven to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital by a bystander, where he was listed in critical but stable condition. The second victim sustained no injuries during the incident. Detectives are still investigating whether there is a connection between the victims and the robbers.
