Reggae artist Tasha T is continuing her One World musical journey with the release of the project’s second chapter, showcasing a more direct and socially conscious side of her artistry.
One World: Chapter 2 is set for release on Sept. 4, following the arrival of its lead single, “Bad and Ruff,” featuring veteran reggae and dancehall artist Lady G, on Sept. 3.
The two-part project is presented by RasVibe Records Inc. in collaboration with IslandYard Productions and distributed by VPAL Music.
Chapter 2 follows the Aug. 14 release of One World: Chapter 1, which featured 12 songs exploring faith, love, resilience, heritage, female empowerment and global unity through Tasha T’s melodic and soulful approach.
The second installment shifts gears, highlighting the reggae artist’s stronger deejay delivery and a more pointed approach to social and cultural commentary.
“Bad and Ruff” sets the tone for that shift, pairing Tasha T’s conscious outlook and firm delivery with Lady G while remaining rooted in the reggae tradition that has shaped her career.
“One World represents the different ways I use music to connect with people,” Tasha T said. “These two chapters allowed me to honour both sides of who I am as an artist while reminding listeners that, despite our differences, we are still one people living in one world.”
The release comes as “Ten Foot Wall,” the lead single from Chapter 1, continues its run on reggae charts. The song reached No. 1 on the Rebel Vibez Top Ten and Reggae North chart and climbed to No. 3 on the New York Foundation Radio Network Top 30.
Together, the two chapters showcase the range of Tasha T’s sound while maintaining her focus on purposeful music, cultural identity and shared humanity.
While Chapter 1 leaned into melody and reflection, Chapter 2 places greater emphasis on urgency and direct social and cultural commentary.
“Bad and Ruff” featuring Lady G arrives on digital platforms Sept. 3, while One World: Chapter 2 will be released Sept. 4.
