Tammy redevelops into tropical storm

Tammy, having previously transformed into a potent extratropical cyclone, has made a return to its status as a tropical storm.

Situated approximately 215 miles to the east of Bermuda, Tammy remains a system to watch closely.

Gale warnings issued

The US National Hurricane Center, in their recent update, has issued a gale warning for Bermuda, highlighting the importance for residents and interests in the region to keep a vigilant eye on Tammy’s developments.

Tropical Storm’s trajectory

Reports are that at 11 a.m. AST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Tammy was located near latitude 32.2 north, longitude 61.1 west.  

Tammy is moving toward the northwest near 3 mph (6 km/h). A turn to the north is expected tonight followed by a turn to the east over the next couple of days.  

Based on projections, Tammy is set to distance itself from Bermuda on Saturday morning.

Wind speeds

Tammy is packing maximum sustained winds of approximately 65 mph (100 km/h), with bursts of even stronger gusts. 

Little change in strength is expected during the next day or so,
