The incident occurred on the M3 motorway on the morning of May 28, when Sterling’s Lamborghini crashed.

The court proceedings now add another off-field issue to a period in which Sterling’s football career has undergone significant change.
Sterling has earned 82 caps for England, although his most recent international appearance came at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
He began his senior professional career at Liverpool before moving to Manchester City in 2015. During his time at the Etihad, Sterling won four Premier League titles along with other major honors.
His career subsequently took him to Chelsea in 2022, but he fell out of favor at Stamford Bridge and spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Arsenal.
Sterling later moved to Feyenoord on a short-term deal in February, making eight Eredivisie appearances.
