Taylor steadies the ship after top-order collapse

Having already clinched the series, the West Indies made just one adjustment to the lineup that won the second ODI, bringing Ashmini Munisar in for Shawnisha Hector.

Ireland's decision to bowl first paid immediate dividends when Orla Prendergast removed captain Hayley Matthews for just seven, ending the prolific opener's remarkable run after centuries in each of the previous two matches.

Taylor briefly steadied the innings alongside Realeanna Grimmond in a 34-run partnership before Grimmond fell for a patient 14 from 42 deliveries.

The innings quickly unraveled.

Run-outs claimed both Shemaine Campbelle and Jannillea Glasgow with only seven additional runs added, reducing the visitors to 48 for four. Deandra Dottin briefly counterattacked with an aggressive 21 that included four boundaries, but she was stumped off Georgina Dempsey to leave West Indies in deep trouble at 82 for five.

Veteran leads remarkable recovery

With the innings hanging in the balance, Taylor produced another masterclass in rebuilding under pressure.

She first combined with Jahzara Claxton in a valuable 73-run partnership that restored stability. Claxton contributed a composed 30 before Aimee Maguire ended the stand.

Taylor then found another willing partner in Aaliyah Alleyne, whose brisk 33 from just 30 deliveries featured six boundaries and shifted the momentum back toward the visitors.

Although Alleyne departed with the score on 205 for seven after 40 overs, West Indies still needed a strong finish to post a competitive total.

Taylor made certain they got it.

Displaying the patience and composure that have defined her distinguished career, she guided the lower order through the closing overs, adding another 52 invaluable runs to lift the total well beyond Ireland's reach.

The 35-year-old reached her landmark 10th ODI century in dramatic fashion during the final over, sprinting back for two runs after driving Dempsey through the off side. She was run out off the last delivery after a magnificent innings of 105 from 113 balls, decorated with 10 boundaries.

Her match-winning effort earned her the Player-of-the-Match award.

Ireland's bowling effort was led by Prendergast (2-37), Jane Maguire (2-44), and Dempsey (2-61), with each claiming two wickets.

Spin attack crushes Ireland's resistance

Ireland's chase began cautiously, losing Sarah Forbes for just two before captain Gaby Lewis and Amy Hunter revived hopes with an enterprising 71-run, second-wicket partnership.

Their stand carried the hosts to 81 for one in the 18th over, briefly placing the contest in the balance.

Fletcher, however, produced the breakthrough West Indies desperately needed.

Lewis had just completed a well-crafted half-century from 59 balls when Fletcher dismissed her for an even 50. Three deliveries later, the experienced leg-spinner struck again by removing Hunter for 30, abruptly shifting the momentum back toward the visitors.

Ireland's middle order never fully recovered.

Hayley Matthews accounted for Prendergast after only eight runs, while Rebecca Stokell's run-out left the hosts struggling at 129 for five.

Leah Paul (32) and Louise Little (23) attempted to revive the chase with a 29-run partnership, but Fletcher returned to have Paul stumped, triggering a collapse that quickly extinguished Ireland's hopes.

The Caribbean spin trio maintained complete control through the closing stages, with Fletcher and Ramharack each claiming outstanding figures of 3-33, while Matthews finished with 2-37.

Perfect finish to a dominant series

Taylor's consecutive centuries provided the foundation for another comprehensive victory, while Matthews' consistency throughout the three-match contest earned her the Player-of-the-Series award.

Together, the veteran batter and a relentless spin attack ensured the West Indies Women departed Ireland unbeaten, completing another convincing ODI series triumph and extending their dominance over the hosts with a third consecutive bilateral clean sweep.
