Son of Jamaican politician Aloun N'dombet Assamba dies

Domonic Strachan, the only child of Aloun N'dombet Assamba, Jamaica’s People’s National Party’s (PNP) legal advisor, has died.

According to sources, Strachan experienced a heart attack in the early hours of Saturday in Moneague, St. Ann, and was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Legacy of leadership

Strachan’s mother, N’dombet-Assamba, has been a prominent figure in Jamaican politics. Her illustrious career includes roles as Jamaica’s High Commissioner to London, Cabinet Minister, Member of Parliament, and even a tenure in the Senate.

The news of Strachan’s untimely demise has shaken many, evident from the flood of tributes and heartfelt condolences pouring in on social media for the young Strachan.
