Six Jamaican resorts have been named among the Caribbean's top 25 resorts in the 2026 edition of the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards, with Negril's Tensing Pen securing the No. 2 spot overall.
The annual readers' choice awards recognized nearly a quarter of the region's top-ranked resorts in Jamaica, with properties located in Negril, Ocho Rios, Montego Bay and Treasure Beach.
The Jamaican resorts that made the list are:
- No. 2 – Tensing Pen
- No. 8 – Jamaica Inn
- No. 12 – Rockhouse Hotel & Spa
- No. 15 – Round Hill Hotel and Villas
- No. 18 – Jakes Hotel, Villas & Spa
- No. 20 – Skylark Negril Beach Resort
Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett welcomed the recognition, saying the awards reflect the experiences of travelers and serve as a strong endorsement of Jamaica's tourism product.
"Having six resorts recognized among the Caribbean's best speaks to the outstanding work of these properties and the dedication of the people who make Jamaica one of the region's leading destinations," Bartlett said.
The Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards are based on reader surveys that rate hotels and resorts on factors including rooms and facilities, location, service, food and overall value.
Director of Tourism Donovan White said the rankings underscore Jamaica's continued appeal among international travelers.
"Travel + Leisure readers have once again highlighted what makes Jamaica such a compelling choice for travelers seeking memorable experiences," White said. "This recognition reinforces the global appeal of our destination and the strong connection visitors continue to build with Jamaica."
The six resorts showcase a range of experiences across the island, from Negril's cliffside escapes and Seven Mile Beach to the historic elegance of Ocho Rios, Montego Bay's luxury retreats and the laid-back atmosphere of Treasure Beach.
