The two artistes had gathered at the Oakland Park Flea Market to shoot visuals for Sexyy Red’s anticipated single, “Shake Ya Dreadz,” according to sources from social media.

A clip circulating on X (previously Twitter) seems to showcase Sexyy Red performing to an enthusiastic crowd.

However, the atmosphere quickly shifted when gunshots pierced the air.

The aftermath saw one victim at a proximate gas station, while another was discovered within the flea market’s vicinity, as relayed by local news outlet WPLG.

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office intervened, cordoning off the gas station in their quest for tangible evidence.

Although two individuals were spotted being escorted near the crime site, there is yet to be official word on any arrests.

The rapper took to her Instagram story shortly after, sharing visuals of the bustling flea market prior to the incident.

A rising star's journey

Sexyy Red catapulted to the limelight in January 2023 with the release of her single “Pound Town.”

A subsequent collaboration with renowned artiste Nicki Minaj on a remix further boosted her career trajectory. Her mixtape, “Hood Hottest Princess,” has been lauded for hits like “SkeeYee,” “Looking For the Hoes (Ain’t My Fault),” and “Pound Town 2.”
