Sara Misir triumphs with double win at Dover Raceway’s Carnival of Speed

In a thrilling display of skill and determination, Sara Misir emerged victorious in the closing race of the JRDC's Carnival of Speed at Dover Raceway on Easter Monday, capping off a remarkable day with two wins and a second-place finish in the Modified Production Class 4.
Starting from pole position for the final race, Oliver Townsend led the Modified Production Class 3 grid, with Allan Gordon and Sara Misir lining up alongside him, all competing in MP4. As the race commenced, Townsend seized the initial advantage, but Misir swiftly maneuvered her way from behind to challenge for the lead, igniting excitement among spectators as they raced side by side into the first corner.
Amidst fierce competition, Misir exhibited exceptional skill and composure, capitalizing on opportunities to seize the lead from Townsend. Despite encountering gearbox issues forcing Townsend's retirement, Misir engaged in a thrilling battle with Lamar Larmond and Allan Gordon, ultimately pulling away to secure a commanding victory on the eighth and final lap.
Earlier in the day, Misir faced brake fading challenges in Race Two but managed to secure a commendable second-place finish behind Allan Gordon. Despite intense competition, Misir maintained her position among the front-runners, securing vital points in the championship standings.
With her stellar performances, Misir concluded the day atop the MP4 standings with 27 points, while Allan Gordon closely trailed in second place with 24 points.
Reflecting on her achievements, Misir expressed gratitude for the day's results, overcoming challenges to emerge victorious. Looking ahead, she eagerly anticipates the next challenge at Jamwest Motorsports Park in Negril in May, where the JRDC series will continue with its second meet.
