Jamaica’s Senior Women's National football team, the Reggae Girlz, will begin preparations for the World Cup Qualifiers when they oppose their African counterparts Nigeria in the US Soccer 2021 Women’s National Team Summer Series presented by AT&T 5G at the BBVA Stadium in Houston, Texas at 4:00 pm today.

The game will be the first competitive fixture for the Reggae Girlz since the Olympic Qualifiers last February. They close out the series against world champions and hosts the USA next Monday.

Head coach Hubert Busby has selected a 23-member team mixed with senior and juniors players, but excluding the French Women's League Golden Boot winner, Khadija Shaw, who has been given time to rest.

The Africans are no pushovers, having been ranked 38th on the FIFA list, much higher than the 51st-ranked Jamaicans.
