Reggae Boyz to face Canada in high-stakes CONCACAF Nations League showdown

Following the conclusion of group play in the CONCACAF Nations League, Jamaica's senior Reggae Boyz have been drawn to face Canada in the quarter-finals.
The first leg of this eagerly anticipated match-up will take place inside Kingston’s National Stadium on November 17, followed by the second leg away at BMO Field in Toronto on November 21.
In the group stage, the Reggae Boyz secured their spot as one of the best group winners, finishing second only to Panama, who registered an impressive 3-0 victory over Guatemala on Tuesday night. Both Panama and Jamaica ended the group stage with 10 points, but Panama's superior goal difference (+7) earned it the top spot.
CONCACAF ranking index used to determine quarter-final fixtures
Based on the CONCACAF ranking index, the top-ranked teams, Mexico and the USA, will face the second-placed teams from League A in the group stage. In contrast, Canada and Costa Rica will take on the respective group winners.
Jamaica, currently ranked sixth in the index, is set to square off against higher-ranked Canada in what promises to be an exciting contest. Simultaneously, Panama will face Costa Rica. The victors of these quarter-final match-ups will secure their places in the 2024 Nations League semi-finals and the Copa America.
Meanwhile, even the losing teams from the quarter-finals will still have an opportunity to qualify for the CONMEBOL tournament. A play-in round scheduled for next March will determine the final two spots in the competition, where they will join the semi-finalists and all 10 CONMEBOL nations in the tournament to be played in the US.
