The Jamaican Women of Florida (JWOF) hosted Senator the Honorable Kamina Johnson Smith at a private reception held at Island Space Caribbean Museum on Sunday, May 7, 2023.

The event had a strong show of community leaders that included artistes, attorneys, business leaders, and politicians.

President of JWOF Janice McIntosh reminded the Minister of the South Florida community that supports Jamaica through the hard-working and dedicated people of the Diaspora.

The Minister was then presented with the key to the City of Miramar by Mayor Wayne Messam who was on hand for the occasion.

Consul General of Jamaica Oliver Mair kept things moving all while being entertained by dub poet Malachi Smith and musical entertainment by Eugene Grey.

The Development/Marketing Manager of Food for the Poor Jamaica, Marsha Rose was also on hand and enlightened those in attendance on the #buildbacktheloveforjamaica campaign.
