Jamaican Member of Parliament Phillip Paulwell is remembering his slain infant daughter Sarayah on what would have been her first birthday on November 2.

The veteran politician shares a series on pictures of his daughter via social media, with the caption: "Today would have been Sarayah’s birthday. Happy Birthday princess Sarayah, sleep with the Angels."

The five photos prompted hundreds of comments from followers, expressing sympathy and condolences.

"Sleep in peace little princess. You didn’t deserve this but the Lord thy God is not asleep and he will award every single person according to their deeds," one user commented.

"Happy Birthday in heaven sweet Sarayah. She is sleeping with the angels Phillip and may the angels also watch over you and bring you peace," another posted.

At just 10 months old, Sarayah and her mother, Toshyna Patterson, were kidnapped and brutally murdered in September in a murder-for-hire plot.

US Navy petty officer Leoda Bradshaw, who shares a child with Phillip Paulwell, is alleged to be the mastermind behind the crime. A sum of JMD $500,000 was allegedly paid for the murder of Patterson and baby Paulwell. The bodies of the mother and daughter were reportedly found on October 6, at an undisclosed location in Rockfort, East Kingston.

Bradshaw, through her cousin and co-accused Roland Balfour, had allegedly contracted two men to kidnap and murder Patterson and Sarayah. Balfour was charged with conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to kidnapping and misprison of felony.

The men hired: Rushane Miller, a 29-year-old air conditioning technician, and Richard Brown, a 31-year-old Graphic Designer, were arrested and slapped with charges related to kidnapping and murder. They both have pleaded guilty and will return to court on November 15 for sentencing.

Meanwhile Bradshaw was charged on October 13 with two counts of conspiracy to kidnap, two counts of conspiracy to murder, two counts of kidnapping, and two counts of capital murder. She has been remanded until a further hearing scheduled for December 1.
