Parchment Gives Jamaica first medal at World Athletic Championships in Budapest

Reigning Olympic Games 110m hurdles gold medallist Hansle Parchment gave Jamaica its first medal at the 19th World Athletics Championships when he claimed silver at short while ago.

The Jamaican had his usual slow start giving away metres at the start but rallied to cross the finish line in 13.07 seconds behind race favourite and two-time defending champion, American Grant Halloway who won in 12.96 seconds.

Third place went to another American Faniel Roberts in 13.09 seconds.
