Operations back on track at BVI airports following temporary closure

The BVI Airports Authority announced to the public that all three airports within the territory have resumed normal operations and are fully functional.

On Monday, Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport had to briefly cease operations.

However, the commitment was given that the airport would reopen to international traffic by July 18.

Brief closures on Virgin Gorda and Anegada


Operational difficulties within the Fire Services precipitated a short-term closure of the airports on Virgin Gorda and Anegada also on Monday.

These temporary suspensions served to facilitate a resolution to the internal issues, paving the way for a return to standard operations.

BVI Airport Authority emphasizes safety commitment


The BVI Airports Authority expressed its regret for any inconvenience spurred by the airport closures.

They extended their gratitude to the traveling public for their patience during this period, emphasizing the Authority's ongoing commitment to ensuring safety at all times.
