Levy's recent switch from the MVP Track Club to reunite with his high school coach at Elite Performance was noted. He indicated that the unexpected test result was delivered by the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission in a letter received on November 2, 2023.
The athlete, who has faced a series of leg surgeries over the past few years, expressed his intention to await the results of the "B" sample test. Levy's ability to compete has been significantly limited due to his leg injuries, following his achievement of a bronze medal in the 110m hurdles at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
