As coronavirus cases continue to climb in South Florida, new testing sites have been opened in Broward County to facilitate residents that want to get tested.

Earlier this week, Markham Park in Sunrise (16001 W. State Road 84 in Sunrise) became a COVID-19 testing site.

Today, Broward County Mayor Dale Holness announced that three new testing sites have opened in the county: Dillard High (2501 NW 11th Street, Fort Lauderdale) and Blanch Ely High (1201 NW 6th Avenue, Pompano Beach). These sites will run daily from 8 am to 6 pm until Sunday, August 2.

At MacArthur High (6501 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood), testing will also be done from 8 am – 6 pm until August 6, according to Holness.

The cost of testing is free at each site, however, appointments and online registration is recommended at http://DoINeedACovid19Test.com

Starting this weekend, testing at Vista View Park (4001 SW 142nd Avenue in Davie) will also be open for drive-thru testing Sunday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In Miami, the Florida Division of Emergency Management two new testing sites that will through Aug. 2 (8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily):

  • Miami Jackson High School, 1751 NW 36th Street, Miami
  • Miami-Dade Auditorium, 2901 W. Flagler Street, Miami

These sites will test people 5 and older, regardless of symptoms. Testing is free, with or without insurance.
