Multiple people injured in shooting incident at Central Florida Shopping Mall

Several individuals were left injured during an alarming shooting incident that unfolded on Saturday at a shopping mall in central Florida. 

Authorities respond to “Active Shooting”

According to reports, the Ocala Police Department responded to reports of an “active shooting” taking place at the Paddock Mall in Ocala. 

The mall is located approximately 80 miles northwest of Orlando.

Suspect on the run

The police department informed the public via social media that the suspected shooter had fled the scene. 

Authorities initiated a coordinated evacuation effort to ensure the safety of everyone present.

Residents and shoppers were urged to steer clear of the area as the investigation unfolded.

Reports are that an email inquiry was sent to the mall’s owner, WPG. 

The mall has several stores including JC Penney and Foot Locker.
