Another 986,535 mail ballots had been issued but not yet returned statewide.
The state’s figures are cumulative and are compiled from daily reports submitted by county election supervisors. They provide a snapshot of participation ahead of Election Day but do not represent final turnout.
The party-registration breakdowns show how voters are registered, not which candidates they support. The totals also exclude ballots cast on Election Day and mail ballots that had not yet been returned.
