Miami-Dade Public schools principal of the year, Maritza Jimenez, is to be gifted with a new car in recognition of her outstanding service to education.

Jimenez will be presented with a 2017 Toyota Corolla Luxury Edition by Craig Zinn’s Toyota of Hollywood. The presentation will be made at the Hialeah Gardens Middle School on Friday May 5.

Jimenez has served as principal of Hialeah Gardens Middle School (HGMS) since 2008.  She brings more than 20 years of experience in administration and curricular expertise.  During her tenure at HGMS, she has boosted test scores and attendance rates, as well as instituted an International Cambridge Program and several popular and successful academies.
