The Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day by hosting the 2nd Annual Girls Got Game event on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Tropical Park Stadium, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

This free event will introduce girls, ages 6-17, to various sports - such as basketball, boxing, flag football, soccer, track, and volleyball, to encourage them to continue playing and being involved in sports, as well as provide accessible and inclusive sporting experiences for girls who might not otherwise have an opportunity to play sports.

In partnership with the Miami Heat, Miami Marlins, the Miami Dolphins, and Miami-Dade College, participants will also receive encouragement and motivation from guest speakers, athletes, and mental health professionals.

Registration ends February 10, 2023.

Participants will receive Girls Got Game t-shirts and medals provided by Miami-Dade County Parks.
