Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) is continuing its collaboration with the University of Miami Health System (UHealth) to provide essential immunizations for students through the Pediatric Mobile Shotz-2-Go Unit.

This initiative aims to ensure that students across the district are up-to-date with their required vaccinations for the upcoming 2024-25 school year.

The UHealth Pediatric Shotz-2-Go Unit will be administering mandatory school vaccines to make sure students are ready for the fall. In addition, the unit will offer flu and COVID-19 vaccines to eligible students.

To receive the COVID-19 vaccine, children must be at least six months old on the day of vaccination. Parents need to complete a COVID-19 vaccine screening and consent form, which will be available at the mobile clinic sites. Walk-up appointments are welcome, although they are subject to vaccine availability.

The initiative will run through June and July, with various locations, dates, and times provided in fliers available in English, Spanish, and Haitian-Creole. Parents are encouraged to scan the QR code on the flier to fill out the consent forms online before visiting the mobile clinic. For new Florida residents, bringing existing vaccine records is advised.

This partnership underscores M-DCPS’s commitment to student health and readiness for the school year.
