The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has issued an advisory regarding a weather system that could potentially develop into a tropical depression in the coming days.

Meteorologists are closely monitoring a broad area of low pressure expected to form over the northwestern Caribbean Sea and adjacent portions of Central America by early to mid-next week.

According to the NHC, this low-pressure system is likely to develop gradually as it moves slowly northward or northwestward.

The system is projected to traverse the northwestern Caribbean Sea and enter the Gulf of Mexico through the end of next week. While it's too early to predict specific impacts, the potential for significant weather developments has caught the attention of meteorologists and residents in the affected regions.

The NHC currently assesses the probability of tropical cyclone formation at near-zero for the next 48 hours.

However, the outlook becomes more uncertain over the longer term, with forecasters assigning a medium (60 percent) chance of development within the next 7 days.

The NHC says that regardless of whether the system develops into a tropical depression, it is expected to produce heavy rainfall over portions of Central America in the coming days.
