Man claims $1 million prize in Florida lottery scratch-off game

A Florida man has clinched a $1 million prize while playing the  “ $1,000,000 A Year For Life Spectacular” scratch-off game. 

Lottery officials made the announcement on Tuesday.

A million-dollar dream realized

Choosing to collect his prize as a substantial one-time payment, he walked away with a hefty sum of $640,000. 

The man purchased his winning scratch-off ticket from the Winn-Dixie store, located in The Villages in Marion County.

The Winn-Dixie store will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the ticket.

The spectacular game of fortunes

The $50 scratch-off game, $1,000,000 A Year For Life Spectacular, made its entrance into the Florida Lottery scene back in February, and features two top prizes of $1 million a year for life and 234 prizes of $1 million, according to the Florida Lottery . 

 Furthermore, the scratch-off tickets are filled with more than $1.6 billion in cash prizes. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.50.
