In light of recent concerns about public safety, the City of Lauderhill is inviting residents, leaders, and law enforcement experts to take part in a Public Safety Forum on June 12. Hosted by Mayor Denise D. Grant, the forum will feature discussions aimed at fostering safer neighborhoods and strengthening community relationships.

Mayor Grant has invited some of the brightest minds in public safety to participate on the Law Enforcement panel including: Sheriff Dr. Gregory Tony, Dr. Cedric L. Alexander, former Minneapolis Community Safety Commissioner appointed after George Floyd death, and CNN, MSNBC, and Fox law enforcement analyst, retired Miami-Dade Police Department Director, JD Patterson, Miramar Chief of Police Delrish Moss, and others.

This important conversation will take place at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center, 3800 NW 11th Place, beginning at 10 a.m.

Panel lineup:

  • Experts in Law Enforcement: 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

  • Breaking the Cycle of Violence: 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.

  • Voices From the Front Line: 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

  • Women Who Nurture: 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The City of Lauderhill is proud to announce the Unity Walk, a powerful community event designed to bring residents, business owners, and leaders together in a celebration of unity and a commitment to public safety.
