Ky-Mani Marley, Miss Kitty to be recognized at Key To the Region ceremony in Florida

Jamaican reggae artiste Ky-Mani Marley and media personality Khadine “Miss Kitty” Hylton-Wilkinson are set to be lauded during an upcoming Key To the Region ceremony in Florida on Friday, June 7.

The event, designed to spotlight Jamaicans who excel as ambassadors for their country on the international stage, will take place at the Marriott Fort Lauderdale North. 

Spearheading the ceremony will be Tamarac City Commissioner Marlon Bolton.

Commissioner Bolton, speaking to South Florida Caribbean News (SFCN), shed light on the significance of the award presentation, describing it as a collective effort among commissioners to recognize outstanding achievements.

Acknowledging Marley’s contributions

Commissioner Bolton highlighted Marley’s multifaceted contributions, noting that Ky-Mani Marley has elevated Jamaica’s profile, not only through his artistic endeavors but also via his collaborations with esteemed international artists.

Miss Kitty: A trailblazer in media and beyond

Similarly, Miss Kitty’s accolade extends beyond her role as a radio and television luminary. 

Commissioner Bolton commended her as a symbol of resilience, citing her academic achievements, including a law degree, and her triumph over adversities.

The upcoming ceremony stands as a testament to the indelible mark left by Marley and Miss Kitty, not only within their respective fields but also as quintessential representatives of Jamaican excellence on the global stage.
