The achievement adds to Kranium’s record of commercial success in the US market. His breakout single, “Nobody Has to Know,” earned gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in September 2019, helping establish him as an international dancehall act.

Born in Montego Bay, St. James, Kranium moved to Queens, New York, at age 12. He gained international recognition with “Nobody Has to Know,” which helped bring his blend of dancehall, reggae and R&B to a wider audience and led to a recording deal with Atlantic Records.

Since then, he has released tracks including “Gal Policy” and “Can’t Believe,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Wizkid, while continuing to build an international following through collaborations and live performances.

The October 18 event marked another milestone in Kranium’s career, combining recognition for his music with honors from New York state lawmakers.
