The event, which is in its second year, will be held at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on March 18 and 19.  Other artistes to appear on the event include: Common, LL Cool J featuring DJ Z Trip, The Roots, Esperanza Spalding, Betty Wright, Andra Day, Morris Day & The Time, Smokie Norful, Jazz All-Stars featuring Chante Moore, Will Downing and Marion Meadows. Radio personality Rickey Smiley, host of the popular nationally syndicated Rickey Smiley Morning Show, will take on emcee duties.  Miami Gardens Mayor Oliver Gilbert was gung ho about the city hosting the event. "The Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival is coming back to Miami Gardens with a bang!
