In the 400m, Stephanie Ann McPherson pulled off an upset from lane 7, to take home the event ahead of three American athletes, Kendall Ellis, 51.21, Shakima Wimbley, 51.50, and world champion Phyllis Francis, who clocked 51.56 for fourth place.
The Jamaicans now prepare to take home the gold and possibly new world records at the World Championships which begin in Doha, Qatar on September 28.
