Jamaican police are searching for a man who threw away an illegal firearm during a party at a guest house in Clarendon on Christmas Day.

According to reports, while a party was underway around 1:25 am, police officers on mobile patrol went to the guest house complex and saw a man with a black bag.

It is said the man started acting in what the police said was a suspicious manner, dropped the bag and fled when accosted by the officers.

A Taurus .38 Special revolver with four rounds was found inside the knapsack.
