Jamaican man shot and killed in New York

Police in Queens, New York are investigating the circumstances that left one Jamaican man dead and another individual injured in Hollis on Tuesday.

Reports are that no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. 

Victim identified

The victim, identified as Jamie Robinson, a 33-year-old Jamaican, was known in some circles as ‘Stone Love.’  He was a former footballer from a Pink Lane address in Kingston and played for the Tivoli Gardens Football Club.

Details of the incident 

According to the New York Police Department, the fatal shooting occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of Hollis Avenue and 199th Street in Hollis, Queens. 

Robinson had just left a local nightclub in the area when the attack took place.

He was a former footballer from a Pink Lane address in Kingston and played for the Tivoli Gardens Football Club.

The other victim remains hospitalized.
