Intersection improvement project to begin in Sunrise

Broward County - The Highway Construction and Engineering Division will perform improvements at the Nob Hill Road and Oakland Park Boulevard intersection in Sunrise.

This work, funded by the gas tax, is expected to start on Monday, May 15, and conclude in April 2024, barring any unforeseen conditions and/or weather delays.

Project Overview:

  • Drainage improvement
  • Roadway widening along Nob Hill Road in both directions to provide three through lanes
  • Replace existing mast arms
  • Improve curb ramps to meet ADA standards
  •  Mill and resurface asphalt pavement
  • Upgrade pedestrian ramps, signage, and pavement markings to current standards

Staff will work closely with residents and businesses in the construction area to minimize impacts caused by the project.
