Inter Miami and Orlando City are set to play in the next round of the Leagues Cup on Wednesday night. This anticipated match is to be held at Miami's DRV PNK Stadium.

Orlando City earned its spot in the next round with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Santos Laguna in the Leagues Cup on Saturday, due to a last minute goal by Wilder Cartagena.

Lionel Messi: Inter Miami's game-changer in action

Meanwhile, Inter Miami claimed victories in both of its group-stage games in the Leagues Cup, with superstar Lionel Messi showcasing his talent.

In Inter Miami’s inaugural Leagues Cup match against Cruz Azul, Messi made his debut appearance for Miami as a substitute, clinching the game with a free kick in the 90th minute.

Messi continued to shine on Tuesday against Atlanta, netting two goals within the first 22 minutes and guiding Miami to a resounding 4-0 triumph.

The success in the cup competition has been a bright spot for Inter Miami, a team that had been struggling in the Major League Soccer season until Messi’s arrival.

The team languishes at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, a worrying 12 points away from playoff contention, having failed to secure a victory in 11 consecutive MLS matches.
