Heat secures crucial win against Wizards behind Rozier’s 27 points

In a crucial Eastern Conference showdown, the Miami Heat emerged victorious over the Washington Wizards, thanks to stellar performances from Terry Rozier III and Bam Adebayo.
Rozier led the charge with 27 points, while Adebayo contributed 22, propelling the Heat to a hard-fought 119-107 win.
Jimmy Butler added 17 points to the scoreboard as the Heat secured their second consecutive victory, positioning themselves just a half-game behind sixth-place Indiana in the playoff race. Miami's proficiency from the free-throw line, shooting 25 for 29, proved instrumental in their quest to avoid the NBA Play-In Tournament.
A resilient fight
Despite missing their leading scorer Kyle Kuzma due to injury, the Wizards put up a resilient fight, with Jordan Poole scoring 22 points and Marvin Bagley III recording a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Anthony Gill also impressed, tying his career high with 18 points.
Miami seized control of the game with a pivotal 24-7 run, fueled by seven 3-pointers, leading into halftime. The Heat maintained their momentum in the second half, with Robinson and Jovic extending their lead with timely threes.
Although the Wizards attempted a late comeback, Butler's crucial plays in the fourth quarter secured the victory for Miami, ensuring they move closer to solidifying their playoff position.
Next up, the Heat will face the New York Knicks on Tuesday, while the Wizards are set to host the Milwaukee Bucks in their upcoming fixtures on the same day.
