Gunman fires shots at home of Suriname’s health minister

Police in Suriname are searching for a man who fired several gunshots at the home of Health Minister, Amar Ramadhin on Wednesday morning.

Police said that no one was injured.

Description of suspect

They also reported that hat they were provided with a description of the gunman by a guard at the minister’s residence at Emielaan, located in the capital, Paramaribo. 

Authorities found nine shell casings and said that the gunman, dressed in a white T-shirt and black pants, fled on a bicycle.

Ramadhin has confirmed the incident.
