Fraser McConnell claims second place in 2023/24 Nitrocross Championship

Jamaica's Motorsport Athlete of the Year, Fraser McConnell, secured a commendable second-place finish in the 2023/24 Nitrocross season, with Robin Larsson clinching his second consecutive title.
McConnell, building on his impressive track record, improved upon his third-place finish from the previous season, showcasing remarkable skill and determination throughout the championship.
His journey in the 2023/24 season began with a decisive victory in Oklahoma on June 16, setting a strong tone for the campaign. Despite encountering mechanical issues that hampered his performance in rounds two and three in Utah in August, McConnell rebounded strongly in rounds five and six in Phoenix, Arizona, finishing first and second on November 10 and 11.

Looking ahead to the upcoming season, McConnell expressed his excitement about continuing his partnership with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing. Team owner Dennis Reinbold emphasized McConnell's exceptional talent and dedication, highlighting their confidence in achieving greater success in the 2024-25 season.
McConnell echoed his enthusiasm for the continued collaboration, emphasizing the team's familial atmosphere and his determination to secure the championship title in the upcoming season.
Reflecting on his second-place finish in the 2023/24 season, McConnell expressed gratitude and determination, setting his sights on claiming the championship trophy in the next season.

“It is so incredible to finish on the podium once again, last year third, this year second, next year I’m coming for that trophy!
“We definitely have what it takes to win the championship. We finished strong here in Las Vegas and next season will be no different,” he added.
The anticipation for the new season of Nitrocross is palpable, with Rounds one and two scheduled to take place at a new venue, Richmond Raceway in Virginia, on September 7 and 8.
