An employee at Jamaica’s Sangster International airport was arrested after 2.5 kilograms of cocaine was seized during an operation on Sunday morning.

The man’s identity is being withheld pending further investigations.

According to reports, members of the Narcotics Division and Customs Contraband Enforcement Team (CET) were conducting operations at the airport when an employee was seen acting in a suspicious manner.

He was accosted and searched.

The employee was arrested after four parcels containing cocaine were found in his possession.
