Eight hospitalized after Florida-bound JetBlue flight encountered severe turbulence

A JetBlue flight that was heading to Florida on Monday experienced sudden severe turbulence conditions, resulting in the hospitalization of eight people. 

According to JetBlue, flight 1256 was en route from Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Emergency response at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport

Upon landing at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, emergency medical teams immediately met the aircraft. 

Reports are that they transported seven passengers and one crew member to the hospital for evaluations and treatment.

Company pledges support and inspection

JetBlue, in a formal statement, committed to supporting the affected customers and crew members through this ordeal. 

Additionally, the airline revealed that the aircraft involved in the incident had been pulled from active service for a thorough inspection.
