Miami-Dade residents are encourage not to wait until Election Day to vote in the August 20th Primary Election. Voters are advised to take advantage of early voting now. It is a convenient option with little to no wait times and sites will be open late this week, providing voters with more flexibility. Voters can visit any of the 23 locations throughout Miami-Dade County this week.

The full list of early voting sites, including hours of operations, and addresses can be found on the Elections Department early voting page. Wait times will be updated throughout the day, so voters can make an informed decision as to when and where is most convenient for them.

Voters are also encouraged to review their customized sample ballot to prepare before heading out to vote.

It is important that voters know this election is for all voters regardless of party affiliation.  While Florida is a closed primary State, meaning that only voters who are registered members of a political party may vote in their respective party’s primary election. However, there are a number of non-partisan races and questions that all Miami-Dade County voters will be able to vote in, regardless of party affiliation.
