A grim encounter at Stout’s Automotive in Florida resulted in the deaths of two men, stemming from a dispute over a service rendered two years prior.

A dispute from the past resurfaces

Reports are that Eugene Frank Becker, 78, made a visit to Stout’s Automotive on Wednesday.

In a tragic turn of events, Becker confronted business owner Jodie Stout, 52, resulting in a fatal exchange of gunfire.

Authorities reveal that Becker’s motive for the confrontation was rooted in his belief that he had been unjustly overcharged during a prior service at Stout’s in 2021.

The fatal exchange

According to reports, the altercation swiftly escalated when Becker brandished a handgun and shot at Stout.

Stout returned fire, striking Becker multiple times.

Both men succumbed to their injuries at hospital.

The scene’s aftermath

The violent episode summoned a significant police presence, as dozens of officers flocked to the scene.

Reports have also shed light on Becker’s recent struggles.
