Court of Appeal rejects Beach Soccer Jamaica’s appeal against JFF Election Proceedings

The Court of Appeal on Wednesday has upheld the decision to allow the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) elections to proceed, dismissing an appeal filed by Beach Soccer Jamaica (BSJ).

The ruling clears the way for the JFF to move forward with its scheduled elections, despite ongoing legal disputes.

Initially, BSJ had obtained an injunction blocking the JFF elections, but this injunction was subsequently lifted. Despite BSJ's efforts to challenge the decision in court, the Court of Appeal ruled in favor of the JFF, allowing the election process to continue.

The dispute between BSJ, led by Pat Garel, and the JFF revolves around the legitimacy of BSJ as a member organization of the federation. The trial addressing this matter is slated to commence on April 23, marking the next phase of the legal battle between the two entities.
