The countdown is on to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

With just 21 days to go from today, May 25th, the excitement is building as 23 nations clash at the competition in Russia, which will run from June 14th to July 15th.

While many teams have already announced a provisional squad in recent weeks, the final 23-man lists - including three goalkeepers -  will be published by FIFA on June 4th.

The first opening matches will be as follows:

Thursday, June 14th

Group A - Russia VS Saudi Arabia

Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow

Friday June 15th

Group A – Egypt Vs. Uruguay

Ekaterinburg Arena, Ekaterinburg

Group B – Morocco VS Iran

Saint Petersburg Stadium, St. Petersburg

Group B – Portugal Vs. Spain
